The YOSS Mechina recently wrapped up the first term of its HIKON Davening Program with a well-earned trip to United Skates of America.
HIKON is focused on helping talmidim strengthen their tefillah—building a deeper understanding, greater respect, and more consistency in their daily davening. Over the past term, the boys put in real effort, and the growth was noticeable.
The trip was a chance to celebrate that hard work. The boys hit the rink with plenty of energy, enjoying the music, lights, and time together. Some skated like pros, others were getting the hang of it, but everyone was involved and having a great time. There was a strong sense of camaraderie, with boys cheering each other on and rebbeim joining in as well.
More than just a fun outing, the trip helped reinforce an important message—that effort in tefillah matters and is valued. It was a meaningful way to recognize what the talmidim have been working on and to encourage them to keep going.
As the program continues, the Mechina is looking forward to building on this momentum and helping the boys continue to grow in their connection to tefillah.
